Terms of sale

These terms apply to purchases made by consumers in the Tagarela shop at tagarela.cards. By completing an order, you accept the version of these terms published on that date. You can save or print this page.

The contract is concluded in Portuguese or English, depending on the site language you chose. For any question about an order, write to hello@tagarela.cards.

We currently sell physical sets and PDFs of Preschool Routine Cards and Discover and Classify Cards. Each product's characteristics are described on the site. Products marked "Coming soon" are not yet on sale.

• Physical set: €14.90 per set.
• Printable PDF: €4.90 per product.

Prices are shown in euros. Before you pay, the cart and the Stripe payment page show the order total, including delivery where it applies. Our server confirms products, prices and delivery before opening payment.

To order, add products to the cart, choose how you want to receive the physical sets and continue to payment. Payment takes place on a Stripe-hosted page, where you enter your email address and, for home delivery, your full address in Portugal. NIF is optional.

The available payment methods are those Stripe shows at the time of purchase. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not received by our server.

Your order is confirmed when we receive payment confirmation from Stripe. We then email you an order confirmation with the products, the total paid and the receiving option. Stripe sends the payment receipt separately.

We deliver physical sets in Portugal only. You can choose one of these options:

• Home delivery: €1.99 per order, whatever the number of sets. Estimated delivery 2 to 5 business days after payment is confirmed.
• Free pickup in Torres Vedras: Rua Dias Neiva 9, Torres Vedras.
• Free pickup at Livraria Tchekhov, Lisbon: Avenida Ressano Garcia 34E, 1070-095 Lisboa.
• Free pickup at Livraria Tchekhov, Estoril: Rua Santa Rita 169B, 2765-280 Estoril.

For pickup, we email you to arrange collection of your order. PDFs have no delivery charge or shipping.

The risk of loss or damage to the sets passes to you when you, or another person you indicate other than the carrier, receive them.

If a paid product becomes unavailable, we will tell you and refund the amounts paid within 30 days of learning that it is unavailable.

Once payment is confirmed, you can download the PDF on the site, in the same browser you used to buy it. You can repeat the download in that browser. Access relies on data kept in the browser's local storage: if you clear it, you lose access on that device. If you have any difficulty, write to hello@tagarela.cards.

To open the file you need a device with a PDF reader and, to print it, a printer.

You may withdraw from a purchase of physical sets within 14 days without giving any reason. The period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or another person you indicate other than the carrier, receive the sets. If the sets in one order arrive in separate deliveries, the period runs from receipt of the last one.

To exercise this right, inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example by email to hello@tagarela.cards. You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory. It is enough to send your communication before the period expires. If possible, include your order number.

You must send back the sets without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day you inform us of your decision. The deadline is met if you send them back before the 14 days have expired. In our reply to your communication we give you the return address. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the sets.

We will refund the price of the returned sets and the delivery charge you paid without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision. We use the same means of payment as the purchase unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees for the refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the sets back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earliest.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the sets resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

PDFs are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Before you pay for an order with a PDF, we ask you to tick this statement in the cart: "I ask for immediate supply of the PDF and know that after the download I lose my right of withdrawal." We confirm this consent in the order confirmation email.

With that prior express consent, the download can start as soon as payment is confirmed. Once the download has started, you can no longer withdraw from the purchase of that PDF. Until the download starts, you may withdraw from the PDF purchase within 14 days of the purchase date, as described above, with nothing to send back.

This does not affect your rights if the PDF does not conform to the contract.

Physical sets carry the legal guarantee of conformity: we are liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within three years of delivery. If it becomes apparent within the first two years, it is presumed to have existed at delivery.

If there is a lack of conformity, you are entitled to repair or replacement, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract, under the conditions set by law. If it becomes apparent within 30 days of delivery, you may ask for immediate replacement or termination of the contract.

For PDFs, we are liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of supply, for a period of two years. If the file does not open, is incomplete or does not match the product you bought, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract, under the conditions set by law.

To report a lack of conformity, write to hello@tagarela.cards with your order number and a description or photo of the problem.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law and do not limit the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

We may update these terms. Each order is governed by the version published on the date of purchase.
